In the summer of 2004 I bought the plans for the Pheonix CNC router from John C. Kleinbauer and constructed the machine in my uncle's wood-shop (you don't really need a well equiped woodshop to build it but I didn't have any real tools at all at the time). Once completed the machine served me well. It was controlled by a Piker 4X controller (also from John Kleinbauer, but now discontinued) and an old PC I had laying around. The first image on the widgets page shows a couple of the things I made with it. I made more stuff but didn't take any pitures becuase I didn't have a decent camera at the time. The original machine: ![]() This is a picture of a plexiglass biplane I made using some plans I found online and a piece of 3/4 inch thick oak I pocketed with the first two charachters of my handle (ten and sai) on the Phoenix. |
